IPL group is committed to long-term values in product design, quality solutions, customer service and responsible business practices. As leaders in infrastructure management and maintenance solutions, we have introduced industry standards and specifications for the RETENTION SYSTEM, including the EN124 Standard & CE Mark, in an effort to assist customers with the correct specificaton for installation type and consistent product quality.
The EN124 Standard specifies mechanical tests, classification and minimum product performance requirements. It identifies six product classes with the appropriate class to be used depending on the place of installation. RETENTION SYSTEM sockets are rigorously tested for materials, design, construction, function, dimensions and markings in accordance with the standard and where applicable have appropiate identification of load-bearing class.
The CE marking on cast steel RETENTION SYSTEM sockets documents our compliance with EU Construction Products Regulation (No. 305/2011 - CPR), which is effective throughout Europe and sets manufacturing standards in accordance with European health, safety and environmental legislation.

Safety is at the forefront of all our activities and a priority in the design of the RETENTION SYSTEM. IPL group is a member of The Passive Revolution and signatory in The European Road Safety Charter with a commitment to actions that will reduce road fatalities. The RETENTION SYSTEM is part of our innovative passive safety solutions which focus on reducing the number of fatalities and severity of injury in single vehicle collisions where the driver has crashed into a fixed roadside object. As manufacturer and supplier of street furniture we actively endorse the use of passively safe columns and posts, which break in a controlled manner, absorb energy on impact and are certified to European Standard EN12767:2007.
In addition to product standards, IPL group maintains and operates an Integrated Management System which meets the requirements of ISO9001:2008, OHSAS18001:2007 and ISO14001:2004. This integrated Quality, Safety and Environmental Management System is internationally accredited and is part of our corporate policy of sustainable development and social responsibility.
